Did I ever tell you the story behind my faith ring? I it got on my first trip to Sturgis when I was scared….This ring is one of the most important possessions I own. Inside the words “Live by Faith not by Sight” are engraved. I’ve worn it on my right pointer finger since I got it back in 2012.

A major turning point in my life was in 2010. It was the year I found the courage to leave an abusive relationship. It was the year I focused on me and finally living. The year I created my bucket list of goals, started Team “You Go Girl”, and found a passion for running. I even overcame morbid obesity and ran my first 5k. This was the year I took risks, went skydiving, and learned to ride a motorcycle. It was also the year I broke my back, ribs, punctured my lung, and had some nice road rash after crashing my first motorcycle.
The road rash particularly intrigued me on my right hand. Rings protected my fingers from missing good chunks of flesh that other were missing. I continued to wear these rings after the accident even with the deep scratches. One might say it was damaged, but it was a part of who I was…
